project 8 goes global

being part of a group with different expertise has taught a lot of things...and now we are very happy to be blessed with good projects right now...

i have been doing projects like layout, graphic designing and illustrations for clients outside the country...which is good because they pay in dollar rate...hehehhee...but for now i have to cut down my projects abroad because projects here in Cagayan de Oro have been pouring in and i really want to do something for Cagayan de Oro...so back out muna ako sa international scene...and do projects here...( tnx to C7 people ) hehehehe

and just recently, two of my companions in project 8 have been invited to do photography workshops in different places.

DUSTEIN SIBUG have already been invited to share his skills in DUBAI, ABU DHABI, CEBU and just recently here in CAGAYAN DE ORO city...sayang lang at we didn't have ample time to really advertise the workshop because we only have a week to prepare for the event, but then again, it was not about acquiring money, but to share the passion of photography....if you will see the works of the participants who joined his workshops, they are now really great in doing photography...
DUSTEIN SIBUG will be doing another workshop in CEBU. back to back with well-knowned wedding photographer and also our friend JIVA JIMENEZ, organized by Sir Michol Sanchez ( if you want to learn about this, please follow this link:

and just recently, our co-member JONATHAN NERI also shared his expertise in photography, by holding a photography workshop there in CEBU. i was also there to assist him and share some knowledge in lighting as the theme of the shoot was INDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY and also FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY....there were supposed to be 27 participants but due to bad weather, 24 participants were present....armed with experience in modelling and photography, it was really a success to share our knowledge in photography to other people...with big thanks to Sir Michol for really believing in our talents.

we are really thankful to God for giving us good guidance and to our families who always supported us with what we are doing right now and to all the people who keeps encouraging us...thank you

we are not masters of the field, but we believe with what we can do...graphic designing and photography is an endless experiment of discoveries....we are just pushing ourselves to do the best that we can offer...we are still learning, meeting new people who are also in to this craft...

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam

i am writing this blog because we, as a group, as project 8, are very thankful to the people who believes in us....thank you very much

if you want to get us to do a workshop either in graphic designing/layout or photography ( basic to advanced post processing, composition etc. ) just contact me: 09229022015 or PM

we are very open and are very willing to share to people who wants to learn the craft....:)

bonix the flyer

one flew over the cuckoo's nest

( salamat kaayo kay onat, ang galing mo onat, idol kita, kung wala ka, wala ako dito ngayon...samok... )

simple objects can be great subjects

that is what i have discovered about photography...simple objects can be look good if taken in a good angle...objects that are very colorful are very eye catching...i am not saying that my picture here is great but it just went inside my mind how photography could really say something without the use of words...how it exudes emotion and how it gives reaction to the people looking at the picture.... i was also thinking one time when i was walking, when you are into photography, sometimes your world is already confined to that dimension of the viewfinder...what you see with your eyes is different when you try to look at it with the camera...you are now creating a different world...trying to say something, trying to tell somebody that this object that i am taking is great when looked at this angle...trying to share a secret to the others what the subject is conceiling...i heard someone comment how photography could lie or say the truth...i agree with him...

pier pictorials

got to be one of the interesting photo shoot i have been into....( thanks to sir evans )

all i could say, the workers got their dose of shock, me got happiness of taking pictures in an usual setting, happy also i was with project 8...

it was very tiring having to be exposed to a very hostile environment, hostile in a sense that the place was so hot, i was wishing that it would rain and i could bathe... :)

but in the end it was still good...

project8----(sorry pam, wala pa kaani when we took this group photo...but nonetheless, you are still ka level namo...:) it all started three people talking about photography and graphic designs...and sa kadugay sa talk, an idea sprout...what if photography and graphic designs will be combined to make a group who could do this things...it was just for passion, i guess it was just mere coincidence that everyone of us that is part of this team are classmates...but i guess it also bonded us because we understood each other...it was just like a barkada thing, making a name of a barkada...just doing stuffs that we are confident that we could really do good...i don't know why it became a big deal for some people, but this group are just freelance artists who wants to enjoy their passion...after getting a warning from the chairperson of Devcom, it was just easy for us to say that we have to lilo first to give way to our studies and everybody agreed, but issues just sprang out...issues we don't even know..people began to comment how unprofessional we are, sometimes people are just hard to make them understand,...1 rule of being a journalist: get both sides of the story...dont just judge immediately...

lights camera action

but in this time, it is not actors whose going to move, but the photographers...except the guy on my left, project 8 photographers aim and shoot at their weapons trying to get the best aim of the models...i also got to be one of the experimental subjects.:) what is so good at this group is that the passion really pushes us to do this...to my comrades, PAYTER!!! si juri palitan na daw og D80...letseh ibog ko....kung naa nakuy kwarta, mupalit nako og akong kaugalingon digital SLR lima kabuok ang upat ilabog nako sa carmen bridge....hehehehe.... well that is what i am also aiming for really, to get my own digital SLR...it is really a good investment as long as you know how to use it...
